We like for our Clients to talk to at least 3 Mortgage companies.  This will give you the best chance of learning your Options and to get competitive bids.  You will usually find that the Companies that Advertise Their Names will provide you the best quotes.  ( Chase, Countrywide, Wells Fargo )  Although, many times you will get much lower quotes from Internet Companies and Companies with Generic Names, We have seen, over and over, how they do not deliver what they quote. Many times, they wait till about 10 days before closing to tell you, "they need to make some changes."
